So I signed up for sgabigbang yesterday. The word count is...very daunting (According to FF.net, my total word count for every fic I have ever written in 8 years is just over 29,000.) 40,000 words is alot of story, but I've been wanting to write something long for a while now and deadlines are my greatest motivator. Word counts coming soon to a post near you.

Now if only I could find someone I can hash it out with.

Current word count: 101 (hey, one small step, right?)

This is mostly for me, so when I ask myself "What was that awesome story I read two weeks ago?" I don't have to go looking too hard. Also, I like having a record and I've grown to really dislike the memories feature.

I'm halfway through a complete redesign of the journal. I even managed to understand enough css code without despairing to create a shiny new header. Except that I have just realized that the quote is incorrect. Arr. It will just have to stay incorrect and incomplete for a while though, because right now I have to throw all the clothes I own into a duffle bag.

Any good thoughts you could send my way would be appreciated.

In the last couple of months, I've watched more British television than I have in my entire life. Now all my narrators speak with an accent.


Blackpool: I hated every single character in that show. Every single one. That has to be some sort of record. Moving right along.

Jude: "We are man and wife, if ever two people were on this earth." This is perhaps the most tragic thing I've seen in quite a while. Some of the editing was a bit awkward, but the rest of the movie more than made up for it. Quiet and still and sweet and sad. Towards the end I actually had to pause it so I could go and walk around a bit. It's a bit difficult to get, but if you can I would definitely recommend it, so long as you're ready for a slower movie.

Casanova: Fun. So much fun to watch. It skips along so lightly that you forget that it has depth until suddenly it does. And I suspect that the music is all synth, but it has been stuck in my head for days.

Takin' Over the Asylum: In which David Tennant looks and acts almost exactly like a friend of mine. I really wish there was a copy floating around without an audio delay, but despite that, I really enjoyed this. I tend to think of it as a bit fluffy, but it's actually not. Whenever it gets into mental illness it gets serious and a bit dark, which I thought was handled really well. It's taking up alot of space on my computer, but I dont want to delete it yet.

I've also seen clips of Secret Smile, but what I saw freaked me out completely so I've decided not to watch that one.
